LD 发来个贴： 说是ASU Honor College 上了子坛热搜, 看了一下有些争论， 想说说自己的情况， 也愿意作些咨询

本人情况

1. 在ASU工作近25年， 作 Senior Research Scientist （不是tenure， 也从未争取过）

2. 两个娃均上的ASU Honor， 虽然也被UCB 和 UCSD 等学校录取。

3. 大娃本科(ASU 商学院）毕业， 进GE FMP/CAS 5年后， 入职GE的一子公司， 官职CFO， 年龄30. 现ABB高管， 年薪$20w. 

4. 小娃ASU Honor 在读。

先说说大家议论较多的。

1. ASU 夏季酷热难忍：酷热不假， 但“难忍”就真的说不上。

多的不说， 一年365天，天天你得盖着被子睡觉。 所有的屋子都有A/C，就是在外面， “干热”不会让你汗流夹背， 闷热难熬。 

2. ASU 录取 SAT 平均1270 左右。 不错， 但对于 SAT +1550 的中国孩子， 你得全A， 上 Dean List，入大公司interSHIP, 那是再自然不过得事了。 

3. ASU现是全美最大的大学， 学生总数己超8万。有些学科排名声誉都很不错， 如商科。

4. ASU 的校车上写有“Top #1 in the Innovations in the USA"; "Top 20 in patant in the World Universities". 说实话， 我自己也不太相信。但ASU这几年的进步是很显著的。
