than SCS. While almost all ABC boys are top tier they constitute only very small percentage of MIT population (5-6%?). MIT has much more AA (30% race based) students than SCS (5%). On average MIT CS students are probably not more competitive than an CMU SCS students.
Based on student profile distribution, I would argue MIT is likely to have more genious level students but also many more mediocre students compared with SCS. SCS has a more homogeneouly competitive (but less stelar) student body. But the bar to graduate from SCS could be higher than MIT CS program.
