medical related EC is very important. But I also believe gpa from what school matters. I see an example 3.8 got accepted but 3.95 from state college didn’t while both have similar mcat and EC. Actually 3.95 may have better EC. I also see examples that 3.8 in engineering is equal to 4.0 in easy science major from same college
