儿子的夜半电话

都躺床上了，电话铃响了。 一看是儿子的，就接了: What's up?

儿子: Not sure I got a ticket or warning. In heavy rain, I stopped before a STOP sign at an intersection. I did not notice there is no STOP sign for traffic on the other street and did not yield to a coming car... No crash, the car stopped. Unfortunately a police officer was there and stopped me. The officer told me I should yield and I don't remember he gave me any thing...

知道儿子第一次让警察pull over, 吓住了, 就让他慢点开回去. 到了宿舍再给我电话。他回短信说忙，"call you later"...

十二点刚过，来电话，说是带几个朋友去party, 路上滂泼大雨，没看清。大家都记得警察没给任何东西。我说也可能你运气，也可能大雨中警察懒得从车里出来，还可能你是外州的车，以后ticket寄家里来。你先睡觉吧。

上大学给不给孩子车？给之前就知道有车蹭车的同学多，交往的朋友也多。玉米地里的学校亚裔少，也希望儿子多认识一些朋友，只是没想到这么快，开学才一个礼拜，就带朋友去party了。喜的是不会孤单，忧的是安全和学习。。。

哎， 爹娘就是这么给儿女吓老的。
