At the least the professor I know,

who is in a top~25 medical school, said they donot consider this. He also mentioned some other medical schools might consider the factors regarding from different colleges. But think about it, high gpa usually means the student's ranking is high among his peers in that college. I forgot who mentioned in WXC: "GPA is the KING".
