请教：大一新生在校外租住公寓可行吗？还是住宿舍？

宿舍是抽签分配的，孩子不喜欢，想租校外公寓。我不同意，一是安全考虑，二是社交考虑，三是考虑培养孩适应能力。

诚心请教其他家长的意见。
