ArmorUSA, thanks, all you said, it's true.

I came to Canada when i was 33, my son is 5 years old. He told me same thing as you said (when he was 16 or 17), there is glass ceiling for sure. He studied at a famous high school with most people is white. When he wanted to run the vice-president of student board, and wanted to keep 2nd year of president of a famous student community in rows. He felt/faced same thing as you.

I did not pay attention until i read your article, thanks again.

During that time, we ignored my son's feeling because as parent, just based on our own experience... we was good in China, started from scratch again in Canada, salary is high again. Now i feel sorry, we should think in my sons feeling.

i will talk with my son, and encourage him to overcome those things. He is 19 years now (2nd year in University). i am proud of him. He just got an offer from Ontario government as internship, will start on May 1st.

Hi parents, the 2nd generation is not easy. Same like us (new comer). Please support kids. Thank you very much.

Oliver
