college admission, why is Zhao, Jr. an exception? Is he a superb athlete? A well-known scholar in any subject? A winner of any of the maths/physics/chemistry/computer/biology national competitions?
I googled his name. Nothing spectecular jumped out of the screen.
Why Columbia and Cornell should take him then? Name one trademark of Zhao, Jr. that
1) defines him as unique; and
2) separates him from other equally qualified applicants?
