My son got the same problem.
His mouth is smaller than average, so does his jaw.
He started to change his teeth @ 5.
Gradually, his upper door-teeth (Men Ya) and lower door-teeth :) touch to each other.
We brought him to see the specialist in June.
Two more month after wearing the mask, we could see the obvious change of his teeth position.
He has his mask on every night.
I think few more months later, his teeth will be in great shape.
