Right on the heels of Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, a New York high school senior, getting into all eight Ivy League schools, another New York student achieved the same feat. Vincent Viego of Skaneateles High School applied to 22 colleges, including all eight Ivies, and received acceptance letters from every single one.
In addition to the Ivies (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, and the University of Pennsylvania), Vincent also was accepted to Stanford, MIT, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, NYU, and more.
He scored a 2250 out of 2400 on the SAT and 35 out of 36 on the ACT. He also takes six AP classes, golfs, and teaches sailing. He hopes to study biomedical engineering at either Stanford, Princeton, Yale, or Harvard.
He says his biggest role model is his father, Adrian, who was well-known for his contributions to computer science, and passed away when Vincent was five.
"In his essay, Vinny revealed his personal side," his counselor Mary Lou Ingram said in a statement to Seventeen.com. "Every college that accepted him was able to see that his EQ is just as high as his IQ. He is humble, sweet, authentic, polite, engaging and respectful."
Congrats, Vincent!
