Tell You Friends You Have an Asian Mom

高二的儿子似乎没有想象地那么忙。游戏网聊外，每隔两三个礼拜同学就聚会一次，从这家到那家，常常还是sleepover。我家房子小，又没有basement,早给儿子说了：你主持party,爸妈自然出钱跑腿，但sleepover就算了。儿子说：Don’t worry，Dad. Everybody know we don’t have a basement。

上个周六正想着过完年后的第一个周末，可以放松一下了。儿子突然提出要给朋友办个party: Dad, one of my friends won big in a game competition. I'd like to hold a party for him tomorrow.

明天？明天是礼拜天呢，礼拜一你还要上学呀，老爸抗议。

儿子说：Don't worry. We will start at 2, and end around 7. 

对付teenager, 老爸知道抵抗的作用往往是徒劳的：那好，明天你早点起床和爸妈一起去买东西。

每次party都是清一色的男孩子，对食物要求真不高，基本就是popcorn， chips，pizza。有次和太太还准备了一个水果盘，到最后发现基本没动。所以，现在的party，都是儿子自己挑。商场里，儿子挑了popcorn和chips和调料，但和往常不一样，买了几瓶不同颜色口味的苏打。这是老爸老妈最忌讳的--这要一打翻在家里的地毯上，收拾起来就难了。所以，每次都是提供瓶装水，外加两瓶sparkling juice。

一看苏打，老爸就头疼了：Why? I have water and sparkling juice at home.If you buy this, you will be responsible for cleanup if the colorful juice gets on the carpet. You better ask your friends to drink on the table, and take a bottle of water to the floor while playing games.

儿子知道老爸的concern: I will try. However, not sure they will listen to me. 

老爸灵机一动：Just tell your friends you have an Asain mom.

儿子一听也笑起来了：Good idea!

定了两个厚pizza给十个男孩子当晚饭，我和太太就躲在楼上房间上网打发时间。到门铃声响起来，才下楼来。发现到了七点，家长来接孩子了。可一看，一楼房间空空的。家长说打电话没人接，才敲门的。

四处一找，才发现这帮孩子游戏玩腻了，居然爬到我家没有铺水泥地板的地下室去了，关了灯，打着手电在下面玩得高兴呢。只好叫他们上来。可大家还是觉得下面好玩，就只能老爸等在一楼，来一个家长叫一个孩子，直到七点半孩子们都接走了。

和太太吃了剩下的两块pizza,就开始清洁房间。一看真不错，喝juice的杯子都在厨房的桌子上，地毯上连空水瓶都没几个，碎chip和popcorn也很少。和太太开玩笑：这Asian Mom的威名名不虚传，居然能震住调皮捣乱的teenager么。
