• Haeli Wey was arrested last week on two counts of felony improper relationship between educator and student
• Wey, 28, a former math teacher at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, is accused of having sexual encounters with two 17-year-old students
• She allegedly had sex with one student around ten times beginning when she went to Africa with him and his family on a ministry trip
• The second student claims the two had a sexual encounter while out on a hike together this fall 
• Wey reportedly sent this text to one of the students: 'Delete our convo (sic) from Instagram please and don't let anyone get a hold of ur (sic) phone'
• Despite the fact that 17 is the legal age of consent in Texas, it is illegal for a teacher to have sexual contact with a student 
• Wey was fired from her job in late October and is out out on bond until she appears in court again next month  

 

Married reading teacher, 30, 'admits she had sex with 16-year-old male student in classroom a dozen times' and faces six years in prison

• April M. Novak, 30, of Sussex, Wisconsin was charged on Tuesday with 12 felony counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff
• Novak reportedly admitted to cops that she'd engaged in sexual relations with her 16-year-old male student in her classroom at least a dozen times
• Novak taught reading and literary at Menomonee Falls High School in Menomonee Falls
• A fellow teacher reportedly saw them embracing and reported it
• Novak's husband filed for divorce a day before she appeared in court
