My kid got all 3 SATII 800s, ACT 35 -same since grade 7, junior high math compition state individual champion , junior high 'knowlege master' captain , high school science bowl state champion & captain , national bio competion - top 100, doing sevreal other competions & volunteering

But he's interested in only one college -Duke because its neuro science is very good, school camp is better than john hopkin. He applied it in early application and got accepted last week.

I think kid's interest should override all others, do not force him/her to go to the best one he/she ever could. It's his/her life
