how to find a summer intern

It seems it is more difficulty to find a summer intern. I got lots of call when I post my resume on monster, but my kid sent lots of resume but no single response. Wonder why. I thought it should be easy for a junior college student to find a summer intern, but never thought that hard. Any suggestion? By the way, he has a good GPA, in a top 20 college.
