出手迅速，我儿子救人一命

我的儿子, Roger, 在西雅图，华盛顿大学读博。去年来过一个电话，告诉我们一件事：他在学校救人一命。

 

 那天晚上8点左右, 他在办公室, 听到走廊传来奇怪的流水声。因为从来没听到过这种声音, 他就赶快出去查看。看到饮水机前有本系的教授在喝水, 喷出的水碰到她的嘴后, 全都落到地上。Roger跑过去, 问她, are you ok? 她没有回答, 神情恍惚，站立不稳，就要瘫倒。儿子迅速转到她身后, 从后边搂住她, 双手合拢，按住胃部, 用力向上短促一托。扑地一块物体从她嘴里喷出来, 她得救了。

 

 原来, 她吃面包时被噎住, 本来以为用水可以帮助送下, 谁知水也送不下去, 反而造成窒息。走廊里空无一人, 一个念头闪现她的脑海：“完了, 我要死了”。就在意识丧失前的最后一刻, 她感到有人来了。

 

 抢救因噎窒息的这一招, 是儿子在高中时学的。他从来也没想到会遇到应用的机会。面对突发情况，他临危不乱, 判断准确, 出手果断，动作利索，没有浪费一分一秒。那一刻, 显示出一个成熟男人的特征。他不再是一个嘻嘻哈哈的臭小子了，我真为他骄傲, 我儿子真棒!

 

 也是那个教授命大，如果Roger晚一步出来察看，如果仅仅看到教授倒在地上，他很难做出正确判断。就是打911，也来不及了。 事后, 教授请Roger去西雅图一家有名的饭店吃饭, 还送他500块钱。儿子推托不过, 只好收下。后来，儿子救人的事迹, 在他们系里传扬。
