高中生外语课

如果一California high school student 的外语水平已超过AP Class 的水平，但这学生的这门外语只在这高中里修了一年的课，其它全靠自学。该继续上这门外语吗？UC 要求至少要三年的外语课。当然他可以去选其他外语课，但他对那些外语没兴趣。这里有人遇过这情况吗？ （我猜不少）
