applicant's population in their admission policy for obvious reasons, generally private schools have more liberty in their admission policy for their own interests, which may not be in the best interest of specific racial group. Who says life is fair?
If you ever got chance to read a rejection letter from a top school admission office to a top quality applicant, it would most likely says something like "the school is honored to have student with such high quality to apply, and the student is well qualified and any top school will be happy to have him/her. However, this year the school can't offer admission because the student don't FIT the school's needs. Some schools would even go further say that it's their loss.... The reason that i point out this is that the top schools never say these top students are not qualified, they deny these applications for other reasons, and they have liberty to do that.
