if safety is not a serious issue. My daughter had studying-abroad in Vietnam, Morocco, Bolivia and England in her junior year. While she was studying in England, she visited many countries in Europe either by herself or with a group of students. Then she did a summer internship in Japan. She really loved these travel experience and learned a lot as well.
