Generally, EA colleges are better ones!

Usually, EA colleges are better colleges than ED ones. Second tier colleges want to lock the students in so they have ED. So ED colleges are easier. Also, ED applicants get boost but EA ones do not. Conclusion: ED colleges are much easier for the above mentioned two reasons. There is no particular advantage for students to apply EA except for knowing the result earlier.
