To be honest, what the mom in the article said makes not much sense at all. If she has kids "thoughtful, giving, God-loving, funny, creative, responsible, entrepreneurial, go getters", What not to love about those kids? Accomplishments and successes will only be byproducts of those characters. Of course parents won't need worry about numbers. On the other hand, if the kids are not what she described, the numbers won't look good anyway. Then what is the point of looking at them?
So my question to the mom in the article is "what if your kids are not hard working, determined, caring and responsible? Are you still be proud of them?" I am sure she will still love them. That is what parents usually do and that is in our blood. But would she love them the same?
It would be helpful if the parents offer advice and experience on how to teach our children to be responsible, hardworking, caring and determined when in their nature they are not.
