这是我在所有坐过的trading desk上招人时最看中的。gamblers 绝对不要。一个gambler能垮掉一整个desk一季度或一年的盈利。我们看重的是要take calculated risk. And you need to be EXTREMELY detailed oriented to analyze your downside and upside correctly. We ask a LOT of probability questions, or give interviewers a detailed term sheet of a complex derivatives deal or prospectus, and ask the interviewer to price the deal and explain why. No need to ask 17x19 kind of elementary school math questions.

One of my bosses who was a top paid trader one year in the hedge fund industry always says. "Devils are in the details". In this sense, women often make the best traders in the industry, whereas men are prone to cycles of boom and bust.
