May 19, 2014

New value-priced CA300 cart brings the benefits of Telemedicine to more organizations and expands patients’ access to quality healthcare.

May 19, 2014, Reston, VA--Avizia, Inc., a leading telemedicine technology provider, today announced the availability of its new CA300. The company is showcasing the new telemedicine cart for the first time at the American Telemedicine Association tradeshow in Baltimore. The new product will support general telemedicine use cases, require minimal training and is priced less than the company’s flagship Clinical Assistant 700 telemedicine cart, making it one of the most affordable solutions in the industry.

“Telemedicine is sweeping the medical industry and we are helping lead the wave,” said Mike Baird, CEO of Avizia, “We often come across organizations that are hesitant to adopt telemedicine because of the high start up costs associated with today’s technology solutions. For those organizations, the new CA300 is the perfect remedy.”

The CA300 is an FDA Class I medical device that adheres to international safety standards. The product is easy to use, comes with Wi-Fi or hardwire Internet connections and offers Avizia’s new QuickBoot™ technology, which quickly wakes up the system when it’s ready to be used. The cart is designed to adapt to many different work styles with its adjustable height and various storage options, including a drawer, bin and optional PC cabinet.

“Our vision is to bring telemedicine solutions to practitioners and healthcare organizations so they can focus on care,” said Alan Pitt MD, Avizia’s Chief Medical Information Officer. “The CA300 helps us deliver on that vision as we continue to expand our product portfolio.”

The CA300 is powered by the industry-leading Cisco SX20 codec and includes an 8x zoom and 1080p video captured by the Cisco Precision HD camera. The 24” HD LED monitor of the CA300 offers stunning realism for all participants. The system also has built-in ports for connecting peripherals like digital stethoscopes and high-powered telemedicine scopes, such as the Avizia™ Horus Scope. The CA300 has anti-microbial surfaces and downward facing speakers to reduce contamination risk. Multiple control options, a button touch panel and infrared remote, make controlling the system easy.

Avizia is one of the world’s largest suppliers of telemedicine solutions with more than 500 customers using its technology in 30 countries around the globe. The CA300 mobile telemedicine system will be shown in booth 4923 at ATA.
