因勢利導

According to an expert (Gary Smalley), we should build upon children's natural talent and interest.

You can encourage him to go one step further, how about build model airplane, use wood, or whatever, make kite himself. Discuss with him the aerodynamic, why airplane can fly. How to make it fly higher and faster? Do some research on the history of development of airplane and write a report. He could become an expert on this. Or even find a school that teachs him how to fly a small airplane ... ... Gary's son took the flying lesson when he was young.

Maybe he wants to be a pilot or an engineer specializing in building airplane.

I showed my 4 year old how to make an airplane, a few days later, he is teaching his entire class! He even improved and came up with different version of airplane, and he learned all by himself what kind of airplane fly better, what kind would spiral. I can tell he is so creative. The drawback is our living room floor is swamped with airplanes. Let's encourage this kind of exploring and creativeness. Don't quench their natural interest and talent. Kids learn through playing.
