国内现在变得跟我们以前长大的时候的社会观念已经不一样。从什么样的家庭长大,一定程度上决定这个孩子来美国能不能适应。
From US schools point of view, money is not as critical. Many top schools in the East do offer financial aid, including work study, foreign student loan (private loan, not government backed) and outright scholarship.
However the point to come here is tha the kid needs to "suffer" and grow at an early age, ie. they need to work hard to get it. If they grow up in an environment where everything has been handed to them in a silver plater, then they'd better stay close to that feeding spoon at home. :-)
