The 3rd grader must be a genius if he qualified for AIME

In 2013, there are 50 6th or less graders qualified for AIME through AMC 10A.  There are 19 6th or less graders qualifed for AIME through AMC 10B.  So, in total less than 69 students 6th or less qualified for AIME though AMC 10. So, if the 3rd grader could qualify for AIME.  That is really fantastic. There could be only a couple of 3rd graders in the whole US that could achieve this.
