the fever should be down after 24 hours (you still need to finish all the prescriped doseage).  It seems in your case, Amoxillian does not help. 

Unless the symptom gets worse (e.g., having water in lungs), no really need to be hospitalized.

If your area has Childrens' hospital, go there instead of general hospital.
