Carnegie Mellon (CMU) Computer Science (SCS) or Harvey Mudd (HMC

My son is accepted for CMU SCS and Harvey Mudd. He loves HMC and prefers to go there.  But we don’t know HMC very well. Recently we searched HMC on internet and know it is very good engineering and computer Science College. However, CMU computer science is also very good.  Can anyone give us suggestion? What is difference between two schools?
