My S didn't want read anything when he was 4 and half. He alway ran away when he saw a book. My friend let me borrowed the set and we tried 20 munites every day before bed time. He really liked it. He mastered all the phonics in 3 months and felt in love with reading ever since. His reading level now is pretty advanced.
