Even with 36% yield, CalTech has better freshmen in test scores than both MIT and Harvard. Since everyone here is so high on fairness based on test, does it mean CalTech is the most selective? Please do not reach any conclusion without doing your research. The reason a lot of girls select other schools over CalTech is the unbalance ratio of boys vs girls. Last year, it is 63% vs 37%. Only very committed girls will apply to that school.Without full dataset, you actually can not reach any conclusion. With that 63% vs 37%, I will say CalTech is not doing girls a lot of favor.
