Most students do not acheivethheir highest score until senior year. Scores increase dramtically in senior year. In fact, there is also a large jump in scores between junior and senior year.My daughter had a great increase in score with very little studying between Junior and Senior year, with a perfect in verbal and a 790 in math. It is a little bit too early to be worried about SAT, work on the PSATs for Junior year for national merit. A 1350 is a very acceptable score for an eighth grader.
