Those 家长 who want to influence or control their kids actually

have no confidence in their kids, they just want to live their kids' lives, they want to involve. In the above scenario, the 家长 just sit on the back seat, watch and let the kids play/choose, give the necessary guidance and backup, the kids will do just as well.
