It is not a show off post.
I understand it wouldn't be a problem if I make 50k. One of my frind's kid went to MIT a few years ago. He did not pay a penny, because he is a postdoc. If you make over 150k, it is totally different story. You may be able to afford but the quality of life gonna dramatically drops. not even mention 2 kids together: 130K per year!!!
