求教: 高中上住宿学校的利弊

我们住在西岸, 孩子从小(k)开始, 就上一个还算知名的私立学校. 是可以到12的. 

但孩子爸爸很想让他上东岸更知名的住宿高中. 想知道利弊.

我觉得:

1. 太贵. 学费6万以上, 比现在的贵1/3.

2. 太远, 我会想孩子.

3. 孩子现在学的钢琴等, 可能都得放下.

我们也是工薪阶级, 不投资, 只供孩子上学. 但似乎, 东岸的学校起点真的很不错, 参观校园后, 更是感觉如此.
