My son is in K and went through the same thing during the first half year of a new school. Teacher complained that he can't keep hands to himself and doesn't follow directions. For a while, we got notes once a week from his teacher (per his teacher, very few kids worse than him). I kind of suspect he had some auditory processing issue as well. I never took him for ADD evaluation - does not matter if he has ADD or not. Even if he has ADD, I won't use medication anyway. We set up lots of reward system. If he can continue getting a sticker for a week, we would take him to a toy store and buy him a toy. We also find some exercise to work with him to help him learn how to concentrate. Keep working, things will work out in the end. For us, my son hasn't got any complaint from his teacher for the past couple months and he also got accepted into a top private school where we live. Some kids, they just work their parents a little hard than others.
