join team sports in junior high

My son was like that but not any more.  He joined swimming team and has to get up at 5:15 AM in order to get to the practice.  The peer pressure makes him to arrive on time.  It used to be a headache to ask him to get up on time, but now he got up by himself.  One more, he used to get verbally bullied in the school.  Again, not any more.  Team spirit, their coach said.  Bully him is like bullying the whole swimming team and who will be that stupid to do that?
