I know it's true for Harvard and Princeton...not sure about others.  However, 10-15 years after college, some of them start to go back to "traditional" companies such as high tech companies (Microsoft, IBM), pharmas (Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb, etc), energy companies (Exxon, Shell,etc) etc.  Most of them will go in as an executive such as director, VP, SVP, etc. 

Here are some of the typical career paths:

graduate from college -> consulting 2-3 years -> MBA 2 years -> consulting 3-5 years -> large company VP.

Another one:

graduate from college -> banking/consulting/non-profit 2-3 years -> Law School 3 years -> top law firm 5-10 years -> large company General Counsel/SVP
