MAP testing is a testing based on kid's capability. If the kid can do harder problems, the next question will be harder. If he/she did some problem wrong, the test will offer a lower level question to kid. The MAP is used to tracking the chilrean's academic growth.
ALEKS is a self learning site. my kids didn't use it. You will have to pay to get the lessons. Heard it is pretty good
