Young children cannot survive without we take care of them, but our parents can--they are adults and know where to find food, clothes, hospital and make basic judgement. Young children do not know how to do any of these bsic surviving things. Therefore if one has to choose, children have priority. But it does not mean that one abandon one's parents. It is just different priority issues.
