HELOC has higher risk than 30 years fixed.
Why? HELOC rate is floating. Your fate is controlled by FED.
It is not impossible the get the rate up to 10% overnight. You will be trapped by negative yield gap.
30 years fixed you get rate fixed for 30 years! So you can plan for catching the positive yield gap for 30 years.
