never lived Iowa, but can give some opinions

I used to interview a job at U of Iowa at Iowa City, it is a nice college town, except very cold weather in the wintor.

It depends on where you will move to. Des Moinse and Iowa City are good places to go, life is easy and living cost is reasonable.

Iowa is a good place to raise kids, everybody I met there brag about their public education system.
