1. Forget about publication. A good evaluation (reference letter) from professor sometimes better than papers

2. A failed project is a good way to learn good communication with colleague and to improve writing reports. You persuade people to believe you not by your good data but by your good talking

3. A failed project makes you exposed to more tools/techniques in your field. If you are really trying your best, you must have tried many times and different tools/techniques.
