Do you know how good you have to be for top colleges to even consider it? It is more like how Americans train atletes. Serious debators go to summer camps that usually run 7 weeks, costing about $5000. Don't get me wrong, I think debate is an excellent activity, but one cannot be thinking it in practical terms when it comes to college.
