People feel differently. There is nothing wrong if someone wants to thank the country first, if that's how they really feel. The problem with this story is that the official try to tell the girl whom she should be thankful for first.

Also to NW, what do you mean 当你成家有了孩子，你首先感激的应该是你的孩子?? You don't know what you are talking about.
