I have the same concern.

Both my kids 14 and 8 hold chopsticks their own way. My son started using chopsticks when he was 2 and is now refusing using other utensils besides chopsticks. I've tried to correct them. But,it is hard to teach them my way. However, I really do not want them to show other people that is the way Chinese uses chopsticks. My older daughter said that she knows the right way that she can show people, but she goes back to her own way to eat.
