11 year old son need 牙套?

Took my 11year old son to dentist yesterday and the dentist said his Gum space is not enough for some of his teeth , plus some teeth not in line with other teeth and need to do 牙套 right away.

Is this the right age to do it?

I only have basic dental insurance. How to cover the huge cost of 牙套?
