need your idea to deal with a clever but rebellent 3 1/2 girl

I have a 3 1/2 old daughter. she is very clever. But she demands lots of work too. Her teacher complained that she was not behaving properly again. For example, English teacher asked all the kids to write letter "H", my daughter knew how to write it but she crossed out all the dotted "H" on the first paper. The teacher gave her second page of the same paper, my daughter write all the "|" of the "H" and left all the "-" between "|" empty on the second paper. Apparently my daughter was intentionally doing this. My daughter had similar bad behaviors such as darken entire page while the teacher was asking my daughter to select the correct answer. I know I can reason with my daughter at some times, however, I just do not know how to talk to my daughter and the English teacher this time. Any ideas, please....
