in 2008, I know a few kids with 33 ACT score get waiting listed. That year, I heard too many applicants. It changes every year.

So give a try. If your kids is targeting pre-med, watch out. I know some kids/parents consider it as a good program, next to Washington/Nrothwestern/UChicago.
