Usually the immigration officer at the port of entry decides the length of stay on the I-94, which is usually at least 3 months. Why did your parents have a note of one month stay on the visa? Is it because your invitation letter mentioned one month somewhere, or did your parents said they'd stay one month during the interview? I am wondering how the visa office came up with the "one month stay".
