小费的意义。给小费的前提已经不是基于服务,而是基于服务人员工资低。说实话,给餐馆服务生加工资应是餐馆老板的事,可以通过食物光明正大地转嫁给客人,但根本就不该变相地从小费出。小费唯一的incentive应当是服务质量。我愿意是满意于服务而付小费,不是好像被blackmail似地付。在美国的餐馆里,多数根本谈不上服务,好餐馆忙时还不停的来看你是否吃完了,赶快腾地方走人。这样的系统使得服务生也根本就没有pride可言。
该给不给是STEAL,不该给而该就是纵容。美国服务系统完全在abuse
