蓝天碧海白沙滩------弗罗里达墨西哥湾海岸

北方又进入了漫长的冬季，这个时候尤其怀念美国南方的阳光，南加州，德州，还有那阳光之州---弗罗里达（Sunshine State）。在德州上学期间多次去弗罗里达玩，有时候会闪过写一篇介绍弗罗里达的文章，但很快就打消了这个念头，因为弗罗里达实在是太热门了，这里应该很多人都去过。还有以前出门净忙着为我们家大小领导拍照，很难找出几张照片来用。今天看到一位网友询问弗罗里达情况，觉得还是有必要写写自己的旅游感受, 希望对大家的弗罗里达之行有所帮助。

这一篇主要介绍常被游客忽略的弗罗里达Panhandle，也会顺便谈谈自己比较喜欢的弗罗里达景点及其旅程安排；下一篇介绍一下弗罗里达的国家公园。

来美国后第一次开车出游是去新奥尔良，再往前开就到了弗罗里达最西边与阿拉巴马交界的城市Pensacola。Pensacola海滩位于Santa Rosa 岛上，属于Gulf Island 国家海岸（Gulf Island National Seashore）的一部分。因为这个岛需要过两个很长的跨海大桥 才能到达，当时看到桥头的指示牌上写着“Long bridge ，check gas tank”，感到很是激动。后来开过很多大桥，喜欢在跨海大桥上开车飞驰的感觉，就像在海面上飞翔。

这里海滩的最大特色就是沙子洁白如雪，有人说是“snow white”，有人形容“sugar white”，下面这组照片是用胶片相机照的，扫描后效果不太好，大家凑合着看吧。

在那几年中，我们先后去弗罗里达玩了四次，每次都会在Pensacola停留。相对来说，这里比较偏僻，一般游客去弗罗里达都是飞到奥兰多，很多开车去也是沿着I-95下去，很少有人绕道来Pensacola，所以这里的旅游开发的比较晚，99年第一次去的时候感觉还是有点荒凉，但是随后每次去都会感到有了很大变化。

我发现弗罗里达的东西海岸差别很大，大西洋海岸的海滩呈暗灰色，但是沙子细软；墨西哥湾这边的海滩很白，但是有的地方沙子较粗，而且越是靠近Pensacola这边沙子越白，到Tampa，Sarasota那边，虽然也是白色沙滩，但是白色已经不是很纯正了。

不过，我不太喜欢弗罗里达海滩的是这里一马平川，不能像站在San Diego 拉霍亚海滩的悬崖之上那样，可以体会“东临竭石，以观沧海”的豪情。

最后一次去弗罗里达是三年前的圣诞节期间，因为考虑到马上就要毕业离开南方了，恋恋不舍地沿着弗罗里达的海岸线转了一圈，其中圣诞节那天早晨从Pensacola的旅馆出发，沿着弗罗里达Panhandle的海岸线，走走停停，中途还去了St. George Island 州立公园，傍晚到了弗罗里达首府塔拉哈西朋友家里。感觉还是从Panama City 到Pensacola那一段风景最好。可惜当时对白沙滩有点审美疲劳，现在才发现当时一张照片也没有留下。倒是第二天跟朋友去塔拉哈西附近的州立公园Wakulla Spring和国家森林保护地拍了不少照片，虽然有点文不对题，还是贴到这儿，如果有兴趣可以看看。

这里把我们去弗罗里达时的行程贴在这儿，大家可以做个参考。

奥兰多玩几天取决于自己的爱好，光迪斯尼就四个园，每个需要一天，还有环球影城和海洋世界，每个园都玩需要一星期，我们前后两次去了三个迪斯尼公园，感觉带小孩Magic Kingdom 是首选，大人去Epcot可能更好一点，我们家小孩倒是很喜欢Epcot，有点出乎预料；

从奥兰多到迈阿密可以走Florida Turnpike，但是途中看不到什么风景，我们第二次为了赶路走的这条路，第一次从奥兰多出来先到肯尼迪航天中心游览了半天，然后沿着I-95，中途在West Palm Beach 下了高速沿着海岸公路A1A开，因为当时想去看看总统选举大打出手的地方；

我们住在迈阿密，但是没有在迈阿密怎么玩，早晨七点钟出发去Key West，晚上又返回迈阿密。我觉得Key West固然可以看很多东西，如海明威故居，美国最南端的子弹头标记，但是我更喜欢途中的风景，每个小岛都停下来看看。我还注意到，只有在这些小岛上的椰子树才结有椰子，就连迈阿密附近的椰子树上都看不到椰子，不知道我说的对不对？

可以用一天时间去大沼泽国家公园，我会在下一篇文章中介绍迈阿密附近的两个国家公园；

沿着墨西哥湾海岸回奥兰多，可以在Sarasota 看看这里的白沙滩，然后沿着I-275过Tampa Bay大桥---Florida Skyline Bridge, 不同于一般的斜拉桥，这个桥不是两侧斜拉，只有中间斜拉，Travel Chanel将这个桥评为世界上十大著名桥梁之一。桥的两头各建有一个栈桥，可以开车上去，看到整个大桥的全貌。


这里附上lvtotravel 以前对我的一个跟帖的纠正和补充，谢谢lvtotravel，很为你的渊博知识所折服。

1) It is Panhandle of Florida, not Pane Handle.
Texas also has a Panhandle - look at the shape of Texas and Florida, you see the "handle" area - that is what the Americans call it "Panhandle".

2) The beaches at Panhandle are fantastic - they have the whitest white sand beaches, but the water is greenish, more like Emerald than Turquoise (versus the sea you see at South Florida, Ft.Lauderdale, Miami, Keys - to give a reference).

3) Pansocola - a Air Force Base town. You can see a museum dedicated to Blue Angeles (The air aerobatic performance team - we just had a Fleet Week and Sea and Air down here in Ft.Lauderdale 2 weeks ago. Blue Angeles and Snow Birds from Canada plus a host of others did spectacular performances as usual.)

4) The coastal areas along Alabama and Florida are very nice drives provided you dont pass thru it during hurricane season. Rivers in that area tend to crest with heavy rain and often requir major diversion. That is not fun.
